Design a showroom and office for Protectie SRL, a company providing fire safety services: display the products on walls and shelving, greet visitors at a reception desk, provide somewhere to wait and a place for staff to work — and bring it all together in a single room with an awkward shape.
The hall is split in two by tone. The display side is graphite: dark walls, metal shelving and lit shelves. The entrance side is light: a curved reception desk with a textured front, wood-effect panels and a sofa by the windows. A black slatted ceiling with track lighting ties them together, crossed by the red lines of the pipes.
The drawing set has 20 sheets: a furniture layout, a floor plan, a ceiling plan showing the slat layout and light positions, wall elevations, details and furniture drawings — the reception desk, shelving and cabinets in EGGER laminated board.
The wall behind the desk and the entrance area are finished in light panels, with the company name set on a dark frieze above them. The display walls are perforated and shelf-based systems that hold the equipment at different heights. At the back of the hall, beyond a portal, is an office zone with a table under three pendants.
Four decisions in the showroom
The light zone welcomes and orients; the dark one acts as a backdrop for the display.
The reception desk with its textured front follows the curve of the plan and steers visitors into the hall.
Black slats, track spotlights and red pipe lines give the space its recognisable graphic.
Full-height shelving and hanging systems: products can be rearranged without touching the finishes.
