The bedroom as a separate volume inside the living room — and not a square metre wasted.
Plan a one-bedroom apartment so that it holds a living room with a full kitchen and a dining table, a secluded bedroom with a desk, a hallway with plenty of storage and a bathroom with a washing machine and a dryer.
The bedroom is set apart as a light “cube” with a black metal frame and glazing below the ceiling: light passes through, and the volume reads as a piece of furniture. The shared space is arranged around it — a sofa with a round panel on the wall, the TV on the end of the cube, a dining table by the window and a kitchen with a tall veneered column unit. Every scene is shown in two lighting scenarios, day and evening.
The total design area is 45.22 m² with a ceiling height of 2.75 m: living room with kitchen — 26.96 m², bedroom — 12.15 m², bathroom — 5.17 m², kitchen balcony — 3.28 m². The album has 36 sheets: survey, demolition and new partitions, dimensioned furniture, water and drainage, floors, ceilings, lighting groups and sockets, elevations and furniture drawings for the hallway, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
In the bedroom, a lit shelf runs the full width of the wall above the headboard, with a globe pendant to one side and built-in wardrobes up to the ceiling; a desk with a linear light stands by the window. The bathroom is finished in grey porcelain tiles: a shower area behind a glass screen, a column with the washing machine and dryer, a vanity with a countertop basin and an illuminated mirror.

Four decisions in the apartment
A separate volume with a metal frame and glazing at the top screens the bedroom without taking light from the living room.
A round panel with side lighting is the only decorative accent in the shared space.
Day and evening modes are worked out for every room: pendants, wall lights, shelf and cornice lighting.
The hallway wardrobes, the kitchen column and the display shelving are built into the plane of the walls.
