Little colour, plenty of texture: veneer, stone and light tucked into recesses.
Design a three-room apartment for an unhurried life: a shared kitchen-living room that is comfortable for entertaining, a quiet bedroom with storage, and a separate room that works both as a study and as a guest room.
The kitchen, the island with its dining table and the living room form one space. It is anchored by a wall of veneered panels and a narrow backlit stone panel beside the TV. The bedroom is separated from the walk-in wardrobe by a slatted partition, and the study has a sofa and a desk by the window. The bathrooms are finished in light stone with wall-hung furniture.
The project comprises visualisations of every room and a set of working drawings: demolition and new partitions, floor and ceiling plans, furniture layout, lighting, sockets, plumbing, elevations and furniture drawings — 41 sheets in all.
Light is part of the finish here: ceiling recesses with linear fittings, lighting behind the panels, a niche above the bath and an illuminated shelf in the shower. Two flat pendants over the island pull the dining area together. The furniture is built into the walls: tall kitchen units, concealed doors flush with the wall, and a walk-in wardrobe with open sections behind the bedroom.

Four decisions in the apartment
The stone island runs into a table for four: the kitchen and dining area share one line and do not break up the living room.
A narrow panel of translucent, backlit stone is the only strong accent in the shared space.
An upholstered headboard wall, a dressing table and a wardrobe behind a slatted partition.
A desk by the window and a sofa: the room changes its role without moving any furniture.
